Richard Donald Brown Sr.
SUFFOLK — God in his infinite wisdom, who’s too wise to make a mistake, opened his arms on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, to welcome Richard Donald Brown Jr. home from labor to eternal rest. He was born in Suffolk on Oct. 20, 1975 to Richard Donald Brown Sr. and the late Juanita Deloatch-Brown.
Richard was a 1993 graduate of Nansemond River High School, where he played football. He received his associate’s degree from Paul D. Camp Community College, and was a machine operator at G & R Metal, Hampton for two years. He was a member of Vision Ministries, where he was a security officer, usher, and member of the Men’s Fellowship.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Anita R. Brown; two sons, Daiquan Malik Rabey and Thailent Jujuan Brown; father, Richard Donald Brown Sr. (Margie) and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008 at New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries, Inc., officiated by the Rev. Dr. V.T. Chambers. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Richard's wife, sons, and family. As humans, we are always saddend when we loose someone dear to us, because we will not see them in life again. However, we rejoice to know that Richard has inherited his reward from God, for his labor was not in vain.
