How quick we are to judge based on what we read in a newspaper. If it were against the law to be poor, sixty percent of this city would be behind bars. I doubt that anyone who has commented on this case really knows the family or what their circumstances truly are.
I had no intention of making a comment, but I am doing so for two reasons. First, because I know the father in this case and know he doted on his children and did the best he could for them by working two jobs as most of us have been forced to do due to the screwed up economy.
Second, I find it interesting to note that those who have commented are basing their opinion on what was stated in the initial article and this one. Take the condition of the yard for example. I can tell you from personal experience how many times I have had to police my yard after someone has dumped their garbage on my grass or knocked over my mailbox. Has anyone proven that the candy wrappers, food wrappers and soiled diaper belong to this household? Or was it a tasty tidbit to add to the article in order to sway public opinion?
You never really know someone until you live with them so if you've shared occupancy with anyone in this story and have first hand knowledge of how they live then carry on. If not, leave judgement to those who are qualified. It's quite obvious that the judge in this case knows something that we do not and made his decision to bond them out based on that information.
Like the wise men say...there are three sides to every story. HIS, HERS and the TRUTH. Let us hope that true justice is served and that those who judge without getting all of the facts never find them selves on the other side of the coin.
PS...KRMNCO try going to Social Services for help when you have a father in the home. Based on income and if they asked for assistance, they probably got turned down like a lot of people do. If he leaves however, is listed as abandoning his family, they are more apt to help a distressed mother with children then try to keep a family together. That's how it is...welcome to the REAL world.
