Shirley Bishop Allred

PINSON, Ala. – Shirley Bishop Allred, died Friday, August 20, 1999 at Medical Center East.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 23, 1999 at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Trussville, Ala.. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.

Visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m. today.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene Allred of Pinson; her daugher and son-in-law, Donna and Chrisl Valentine of Knoxville, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Cliff and Debbie Allred of Brundidge; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Shane Hobson; sister Reba Tidwell pof Cleveland, Ala.; and three grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to the seminary scholarship fund at Salem Baptist Church in Brundidge.

William Dewell Hartzog

William Dewell Hartzog, 98, formerly of Elamville died Saturday, August 21, 1999 at Pike Manor Health Care Facility.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Elam Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Elam Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Verlie Hartzog of Ariton; daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Osbern Henley of Troy; a sister-in-law Bobbie Hartzog of Dothan; five grandchildren 11 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Delton Hartzog, Joe Hartzog, Danny Hartzog, Gary Bennett, Robert Parsons and Heath Hartzog.

Ina Mae Bragg Howell

ENTERPRISE, Ala. – Ina Mae Bragg Howell, 88, of Birmingham, died Friday, August 20, 1999 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Ala.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 23, 1999 at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mack Kind presiding. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery.

Following services, the family will receive friends at the Rawls Hotel Banquet Room in downtown Enterprise.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel in enterprise.

Mrs. Howell was a former resident of Troy and Enterprise. She was preceded in death by her husband Murry Hammon "Buck" Howell.

Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce Howell of Huntsville, Jeanie and Jerry Wise of Hoover, and Rebecca Howell of Hoover; two sons and a d aughter-in-law, James Murray and Linda Howell of Huntsville and Harold Henderson; five sisters, Edna Taylor of Brundidge, Lucille Speigner of Enterprise, Melba Vasser of Tuscaloosa; Winnell Shipman of Enterprise, and Claudean Ziglar of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, David Bragg of Rome, N.Y., and Davis Bragg of Prattville; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pike Wilson

Pike Wilson, 95, of Brundidge died Wednesday, August 18, 1999 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev E.T. Horton, Rev. John Emfinger and Rev. Chuck Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Cemetery in Brundidge with Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge directing.

Survivors include his wife, Ina B. Wilson of Brundidge; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Albert Bryant of Brundidge; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Betty Wilson of Spanish Fort; Simuel and Julia Wilson of Montgomery; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service.
