Troy Mayor Jimmy C. Lunsford is scheduled to present his proposed fiscal year 1999-2000 budget to council members tonight.
The Troy City Council will meet at 5 p.m. in the Council Chamber at the Troy Municipal Complex. As always, this meeting is open to the public.
Council members will have the opportunity to consider the budget, said City Clerk Alton Starling.
This will be the second time council members have seen the budget, Starling said. It was first presented to them at their meeting Sept. 14.
According to the council meeting agenda, Terry Watkins of Edge Regional Medical Center will talk to council members about a teen advisory board.
Troy business man George Balmer, who owns Balmer Automotive, will speak to the council about alleged narcotics use in Troy.
Resolution 408, a bid award for a tractor, will be considered.
Also on the agenda is Ordinance 169, a request for a property annexation. The council will see the ordinance for the first reading, and no action will be taken on it, Starling said.
The body will look at Ordinance 170 – a proposed amendment to the city’s cable franchise ordinance.
The agenda also includes call to order, roll call, review and approval of minutes, reports from standing committees, appointments, mayor’s comments and council members’ comments.
