Ralph Neal "Bulldog" Railey, 70, of Troy died Sunday, October 24, 1999 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 26, 1999, at Hephzibah Baptist Church with Dr. Don Hatcher and the Rev. Billy Stevenson officiating. Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing.

He was a Deacon of Hephzibah Baptist Church and a veteran of the Korean War. He was Administrator of Pike Manor Nursing Home and employed there for 26 years.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Felix J. Railey, and a brother, J.W. Railey.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Townsend Railey of Troy; daughter, Dawn Railey of Montgomery; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Linda Railey of Troy; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie Railey Pearce and Tim Pearce; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Rachael Railey; five grandchildren, Allyson, Kristin, Michael, Mathew and Meaghan; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Railey, Lanette Railey Stewart, and Sharon Railey Porter.

Pallbearers will be Byron Wilkes, Lewis Fannin, Mike Kelly, Melvin Wilkes, Mickey Taylor and James Turner.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Hugo Max III and the staff and residents of Pike Manor Nursing Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hephzibah Baptist Church Building Fund.

Visitation was held between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., Monday, October 25, 1999, at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. There will be an one hour lie-in-state prior to the service.
