Residents in the east end of Suffolk are watching as the new police precinct sector one building goes up at the corner of East Washington and Pinner streets.

Suffolk Police Captain L.E. Wilson said construction on the building began the first week of June and the time for completion is estimated at 12 to 15 months.

&uot;But, with the way the weather has been, no rain, we may see it completed before then,&uot; said Capt. Wilson. &uot;We are expecting it to be finished around September 2003, weather permitting.&uot;
