Alberta Britt

Mrs. Alberta Britt, 58, of 722 Nixon Dr., Suffolk, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, in Autumn Care of Suffolk.
She was a native of Isle of Wight County, a daughter of James Colbert, and the late Ruth Colbert.
She was a member of Sixth Street Baptist Church and its East Bound Association, and was a former employee of Autumn Care.
She is survived by her husband, Alphonsa S. Britt; children, Bridgette Britt of Atlanta, Ga., Anthony White and wife, Marion, of Suffolk, Jacqueline Britt of Washington, D.C., Jerry White Jr. of Chesapeake; brother, Webster Colbert of Suffolk; aunt, Daisy Artist of New York City; Uncle, Elijah Boone of Norfolk; and Charlie Colbert, of Windsor; brother-in-law, Charles Britt (Mary Virginia) of Suffolk; sister-in-law, Lorraine Grant (Roy) of Suffolk; six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sixth Street Baptist Church by the Rev. James B. Williams. Interment will be in the Britt Cemetery, Suffolk.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 a.m.

Haywood L. Williams Sr.
Haywood Lee Williams Sr., 83, of 209 North Capitol St., Suffolk, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, in Obici Hospital. A native of Williamston, N.C., he was the son of the late Augusta and Sudie Langley-Williams.
He was a member of Sixth Street Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and had retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
He is survived by two daughters, Eula Mae Williams and Cynthia D. Williams, both of Suffolk; four sons, Langley Williams, Haywood Williams Jr., and his wife, Cheryl, all of Suffolk, Bernard Williams of Woodridge, and Michael A. Williams, and his wife, Eva, of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Carver Memorial Cemetery by Dr. Melvin R. Boone.
The family will receive friends at the residence.

Sabrina Williams
Infant girl Sabrina Williams of Sandy Ridge Drive, Windsor, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, in Obici Hospital.
She is survived by her parents, Fenton and Tia Williams, and other relatives.
The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in New Jones Church Cemetery.
