Helen Buck Weaver, 85, of Suffolk, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002. Born on Oct. 7, 1917 in Winterville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Rosa Branch and Walter Buck, and the widow of Willie Ashburn Weaver.

She was a member of Holy Neck United Church of Christ and the Ladies Bible Class.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis W. McKaughan; three sons, James A. Weaver, W. Stanley Weaver and Donald W. Weaver of Suffolk; two sisters, Leona Wright of Suffolk, and Audrey Minter of Richmond; two brothers, Glen Buck and Ray Buck, both of Suffolk; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Holy Neck United Church of Christ by the Rev. Dolan A. Talbert, with burial in Holland Cemetery.

R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
