Tabitha Peace crowned

At a recent Grand Session of the International Order of Job’s Daughters, which was held at Ferrum College, Tabitha Renee Peace was chosen to serve as Grand Bethel Honored Queen for the entire state of Virginia for the coming year.

During her reign, Peace will visit the various Bethels throughout the state.

She is also serving as Honored Queen of Bethel No. 28 here in Suffolk.

Peace is a senior at Lakeland High School.

She is the daughter of David and Brenda Peace of Box Elder Road, and granddaughter of Stuart and Nancy Peace and Norman and Emma Gardner, all of Suffolk.

Kristen Beale joins BSU

Kristen Beale, daughter of Robert and Faye Beale of Suffolk, is an active member of the Baptist Student Union at Lynchburg College, a small private college in central Virginia enrolling 2,100 students in the professional, liberal arts and sciences, and graduate studies.

Beale is a 1999 graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and a senior sports medicine major at Lynchburg College.
