Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Ricks-Young died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, in Milford Genesis Elder Care Center, Milford, Del. She was a native of Suffolk and a daughter of the late Leander and Annie Vann-Ricks.

She is survived by three brothers, the Rev. John W. Ricks Sr. of Washington, D.C.; Stephen A. Ricks Sr. of Suffolk, and Richard A. Ricks Sr. of Portsmouth; adopted brother, the Rev. Richard Walker Jr. of Suffolk; sister, Annie Arlease Ricks Perkins of Washington, D.C.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, in Carver Memorial Cemetery by the Rev. Richard Walker Jr.

The family will assemble at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Crocker Funeral Home for the procession.
