Ms. Della Clay of Jamaica, N.Y., died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at Hillside Nursing Home.

A native of Ivor, she was the daughter of the late Julian Bowers and Emma Brown-Bowers.

She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church of Brooklyn, N.Y., and had retired as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of the Senior Center of Brooklyn, N.Y. and was an active member of numerous organizations.

She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted brother, Edward Bowers, two sisters-in-law, Thelma Bowers and Ursula Bowers; a niece Willia M. Alston; a nephew Robert Blakes; and several other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Gilfield Baptist Church, Ivor, by the Rev. E.E. Mitchell Jr. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
