Goldie B. White

Goldie Byrum White, 85, formerly of 4133 Holland Road, Suffolk, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, in Tandem Healthcare of Windsor.

A native of Nansemond County, she was the widow of Rupert T. White Sr., and a daughter of the late Issac B. and Annie Boyce Byrum.

She was also predeceased by six brothers.

She was a homemaker, and a member of Bethlehem Christian Church since 1952, the Mary Sue Brittle Sunday School Class and the Johnson Circle.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Rupert T. White Jr. and Tanya J. White of Wakefield; and Ronnie H. and Cindy N. White of Leavenworth, Kan.; five grandchildren, Cindy Ketcham, Donna Ross, Charles T. White, Brian White, and Brandon White; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Dean Ketcham and Dwayne Ketcham; and a sister, Thaddus Pate of Suffolk.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of the Harrell and Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Jonathan Palmer.

Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.

Friends may join family from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the Harrell and Hill Funeral Home, and other times at 122 Springfield Terrace, Suffolk.
