Sandy and Gene White of Suffolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristy Lee White, to Kenneth Eugene Hayden Jr., both of Suffolk.

He is the son Peggy and Ed Marshall of Chesapeake.

Miss White is the maternal granddaughter of Barbara and Edwin J. Joyner of Franklin, and the late George LeGrande Wright Jr. She is the paternal granddaughter of Agnes McMillian of Suffolk, and the late Waverly M. White.

Mr. Hayden is the maternal grandson of Nancy Crotts of Chesapeake and James Crotts of Lake Gaston. He is the paternal grandson of the late Estelle and Albert Marshall, who lived in Farmville.

The bride to be graduated from Christopher Newport University in December 2002, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

The groom to be is employed be Pepsi Cola in Suffolk.

The wedding will take place Saturday, June 14 in Franklin Baptist Church.
