Mrs. Eulah M. Artis, 400 block of Fulcher Street, Suffolk, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, in Obici Hospital.

Mrs. Eugenia &uot;Jean&uot; Goodman, 2200 block of Arizona Avenue, Suffolk, died Monday, Jan 20, 2003, in Obici Hospital.

Thelma M. Turner

Thelma McClenny Turner, 76, formerly of Suffolk, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003.

She was a native Suffolk.

She had retired as a voucher examiner for the United States government.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Melody Cutchins and Robert T. Soper of Suffolk; Ronda T. and Timothy Carey of Norfolk; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen R. and Nancy W. Ward of Windsor; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Orlander M. Miltier and Geraldine M. Schwartz, both of Suffolk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of the Harrell and Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Forrest Hank Teague. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may join family from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Harrell and Hill Funeral Home, and other times at the residence of Melody Soper.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
