Martha Page Williams of Suffolk and Jeffrey Ryan Carroll of Richmond were married at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 in Suffolk Christian Church. The Rev. Michael D. Halley officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Page Britton Leggett of Suffolk, and Oliver Warren Williams Sr. of Chesapeake.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Merchant Sr. of Harrington, Del.

The bride is the maternal granddaughter of Martha Oliver Britton of Suffolk, and the late Hugh Pete Britton Sr. She is the paternal granddaughter of Lillian Greene Byrd of Suffolk, and the late Leslie Leroy Williams Sr.

Mrs. Carroll is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and Old Dominion University. She is employed by Suffolk City Public Schools.

Mr. Carroll is employed by the Henrico County Police Department.

A reception was held in the Cedar Point Club.

The couple went to Honolulu, Hawaii for the wedding trip, and will reside in Richmond on their return.
