Charter earns another chance

It was good news last week when Suffolk City Council came to terms with Charter Communications.

The company was under fire from the city for failing to make certain deadlines in rebuilding the local cable system and for customer services issues.

Charter has invested heavily in the Suffolk system, which today is a far cry from the state that it was in when Charter entered Suffolk, and is likely equal to or better in terms of quality with any system in a comparable community.

The beleaguered communications giant has, by and large, delivered on everything it was supposed to for the City of Suffolk. As such, it deserves the opportunity to reap the benefits of that investment.
