Efforts are underway to relocate the historic Eley house (right) from Manning Bridge Road. The Suffolk-Nansemond Historical Society and others united last year to save the house, in jeopardy after Target Stores purchased the 162 acres of farmland where it sat. Target is footing the bill to move the house. The company is slated to open its 1.5 million-square-foot, $65-million warehouse on June 1.
