Virginia Crocker

On Feb. 14, 2003, at 6:30 a.m., a day set aside to express love, God showed His ultimate love by calling home His beloved servant, Mrs. Virginia Croker.

Mrs. Croker was a member of Tabernacle Christian United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her beloved Clifton and her daughter, Emma Knight.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, William Croker

(Terry), Philadelphia, Pa.; Amos Turner, Willie Jones (Hazel), and George Lee Croker, Suffolk; three daughters, Doris Croker, Washington, D.C.; Marie Croker and Mary Jones, Suffolk; one brother, Isaac Jones, Suffolk; two sisters, Fannie Jones, Suffolk; and Bernice Brown, Norfolk; an aunt, Tabitha Harrell; and a son-in-law, Robert Knight. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

The Homegoing Service is scheduled for noon, Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003 in Tabernacle Christian United Church of Christ by Dr. Carlton Upton, Pastor. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 206 S. 8th St., Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
