Terry Hardy, 23, of the 1300 block of Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003.

He was born on Aug. 2, 1979 in Portsmouth.

Terry was a graduate of Lake Taylor High School.

He is survived by his mother, Althea Bazemore, and father, Phillip Bazemore of Suffolk (paternal father, Theodore Fields); seven sisters, Toni Edmonds of Union City, Ga.; Kimberly Bazemore of Chesapeake; Shawana, Aprell and Audrey Bazemore of Suffolk; Gloria Brown (husband Charles) and Monique Williams of Portsmouth. Other survivors include several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Terry loved to smile and listen to music, and will be greatly missed.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Crocker Funeral Home by Suffragan Bishop Madison G. Copeland. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Suffolk.

Mirnervia Wilson-Battle

Mirnervia &uot;Barbara Smith&uot; Wilson-Battle, 62, of 1116 E. City Hall Ave., Norfolk, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, in her home.

A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of Joe and Virginia F. Smith.

She was a line worker for General Form Co.

Survivors include her husband, William Battle; one daughter-in-law, Danna Wilson of Suffolk; two sons, Ronald J. Wilson of Suffolk; and Earl A. Wilson of Norfolk; four sisters-in-law, Thelma Smith, Doris Smith, Louella Smith, and Eva Johnson; two brothers-in-law. Clyde Bradley and Robert Battle Sr.;

two aunts, Rosella Cook, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Coralee Parks of St. Louis, Mo.; one uncle, Alec Francis of New York City; a devoted friend, Renee Almond of Norfolk; and many nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 in Abraham Applewhite & Sons Funeral Home, Suffolk, with Dr. Melvin Boone presiding.

Burial will be in Carver Cemetery.

Viewing will begin at noon Friday in the funeral home.

The family will assemble for the service at noon.

Terence Smith

Terence &uot;Con-Lee&uot; Smith of the 200 block of Lee Street, Suffolk, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at his residence. A native of Suffolk, he was the son of George Smith and the late Lillian Stokes.

He was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church, a U.S. Marine veteran, and attended Virginia Union University.

He is also survived by a son, Christopher White of Suffolk; a sister, Trend Stokes of Suffolk; his grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Stokes of Suffolk; aunts, uncles, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Pleasant Union Baptist Church by Dr. V.T. Chambers. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is handling the arrangements.
