Dorothy A. and Kenneth R. Armstrong Sr. of Suffolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Ms. Pettinia Nicole Armstrong, to George Thomas Gay Jr., also both of Suffolk.

He is the son of Kathleen Marie Gay and George Thomas Gay Sr. of Ft. Washington, Md. and Lewiston, N.C.

Miss Armstrong is the maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Cardell Porter, and the late Joe Wiggins. She is the paternal granddaughter of the late Ida Mae Digg and Roosevelt Armstrong.

Mr. Gay is the maternal grandson of Fannie Mae Wiggins and Robert Gilliam, and the paternal grandson of Eva Daniels and Early Gay Sr.

The wedding will take place Saturday, June 28 in Bethlehem Christian Church, 1549 Holland Road.
