Louise C. Whisenant

Louise Carr Whisenant, of 120 Riverpoint Dr., Suffolk, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003.

Born on Dec. 22, 1930 in Sedley, to the late William Thomas Carr and Elizabeth Mae Lewis Carr, she was married to Bruce K. Johnson Jr., and was the mother of four children, William Thomas Johnson, Nancy Bruce Johnson Sasser, Randy Lee Johnson, and Mark Allen Johnson.

She was a member of Windsor Congregational Christian Church and attended Windsor High School. She was a bookkeeper for Redd’s Supermarket, active in numerous clubs, and was an avid bridge player.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce and later married Charles L. Whisenant. She was also predeceased by her daughter Nancy, son Mark, a brother, Chesley Carr, and a sister Gertrude Carr.

She is survived by her son, Thomas, five grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Betty Alphin.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of the Harrell & Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Basil &uot;Buzz&uot; Ballard. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, and other times at the residence of her sister-in-law, Betty Alphin, 33 E. Windsor Blvd., Windsor.
