Randy Mason of Suffolk and Lynn Mason of Franklin announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather A. Mason, to J. Scott Wiggins, both of Suffolk.

He is the son of H. Wayne Wiggins of Suffolk, and Karen Soblotne of Siler City, N.C.

Miss Mason is the maternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arlin Peeples of Suffolk, and the late Edith Peeples, and the paternal granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Mason of Suffolk.

Mr. Wiggins is the maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. B.M. Canipe of Suffolk, and the paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Wiggins of Suffolk.

Miss Mason is a 1997 graduate of Lakeland High School, and employed by Ciba Specialty Chemicals.

Mr. Wiggins is a 1994 graduate of Manteo High School, Manteo, N.C., and a 1997 graduate of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.

He is employed by Meherrin Chemical, Suffolk.

The wedding will take place Saturday, May 17, in Bethlehem Christian Church.
