Columbus C. and Lillie H. Parker were married 25 years on Dec. 31, 1977. They celebrated 25 years of wedded bliss on Saturday, Jan. 25 by reaffirming their vows to one another. The couple’s wedding party consisted of the same best man and maid of honor they had 25 years ago. There was also an honorary matron of honor and three honorary flower girls, one of which was the daughter of the couple’s original flower girl. The officiating minister was the Rev. Larry Parker, brother of the groom. The ceremony was held at Benns United Methodist Church in Smithfield.
