Brenda Kestner Russ, 59, of Suffolk, died at her home Monday, April 7, 2003.

Born on Sept. 4, 1943, in Washington County, she was a daughter of the late Hasque Leonard and Mary Wise Kestner.

Mrs. Russ was an active member of Suffolk AA.

Survivors include her husband, Jennings Barry Russ; son, Barry Hasque Russ of Suffolk; grandson, Aubrey Hasque Russ of Martinsville; sister, Varneda K. Meyer of Lugoff, S.C.; brother, Melvin Leonard Kestner of Portsmouth; and many nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home.
