Editor, the News-Herald:

I and others have been patiently waiting for our cable TV settlement checks from the city.

The city, acting on behalf of Charter customers, reportedly settled with Charter Cable for approximately $340,000. The city should divide this money equally to all Charter Cable customers on record as of the date Charter Communications took over Falcon Cable.

Current cable customers are paying for this settlement through increases in the cost of cable services. Companies always pass on the expense of doing business to the customers.

I, along with thousands of Suffolk cable TV customers, am looking forward to our overdue checks.
