Donnell Douglas, 25, a resident at the 100 Block of Chestnut St., died April 25, 2003. The funeral will be held today at Abraham Applewhite & Son Funeral Home. Abraham Applewhite & Son Funeral Home is in charge.

Donna R. Marino

Donna Ramey Marino, 63, a native of San Diego, Calif., and a resident at 1073 Carolina Rd., Lot No. 51, died on April 28, 2003, at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Donald Ramey and Stella Lilley Powell and was predeceased by her granddaughter, April D. Johnson and grandson, Brian Hedgepeth.

Survivors include her husband, William Marino of Suffolk; son, Frankie Lee Johnson of Suffolk; granddaughter, Michelle Quinby of Elizabeth City, N.C.; three great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances L. Duke of Suffolk and Ann L. and Paul McCormick of Trenton, N..J.; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Jane Lilley of Franklin.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Stewart McCarter officiating. Interment will be in Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.

Friends may join the family Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Harrell and Hill Funeral Home and other times a the residence at 1073 Carolina Rd., Lot No. 51.
