Raymond S. Collins

Raymond &uot;Bumk&uot; Shelly Collins, 64, of 405 Benn St., Suffolk, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, in Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth.

A native of Suffolk, he was a son of the late Charlie Collins Sr. and Betty Jordan Collins.

He was a motor vehicle operator for the U.S. Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife, Addie Deloris Collins of Brooklyn, N.Y.; five daughters, Carmental Reid (Milton), Vernell Collins, Wanda Miller (Dan), all of Suffolk; Danita Brown (Maurice); and Raynette Collins of Brooklyn, N.Y.; four sons, Raymond Shelly Collins Jr., Michael Collins (Andrea), Dimitrius Collins (Jenine) and Armand Collins, all of Brooklyn; three brothers, Bishop Charlie Collins, Jr. (Flora) and Theo Collins (Ella Jane), all of Suffolk; Thurman Collins of Brooklyn; four sisters, Betty Blake of Smithfield; Lillian Collins, Minnie B. Scott (Thomas), and Effie Barnes (Floyd), all of Suffolk; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, in Faith Temple Apostolic Church. Interment will be in the Collins family Cemetery.
