Thomas and Margaret Ellis of Corapeake, N.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Christy Michelle Witt of Suffolk, to William Goings Jr.

He is the son of William Goings Sr. and Katie Goings of Suffolk.

Miss Witt is the granddaughter of Katherine Witt of Lynchburg.

The wedding will take place Saturday, Sept. 13, in Southside Baptist Church.
