Mrs. Ruth Cary, 87, of 6052 Proctor Bridge Road, Ivor, departed this earth on Thursday, May 8, 2003, in Obici Hospital. She was the widow of Charlie &uot;Buster&uot; Cary, and the daughter of the late Susie Gwaltney Gray and Henry Gray.

She was a faithful member of Gilfield Baptist Church, Ivor.

She is survived by her son, Curtis Cary of Ivor; her stepdaughter, Josephine Spratley of Ivor; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; her son-in-law, James Eley of Ivor; her daughter-in-law, Arlene Cary of Windsor; and several other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, in Gilfield Baptist Church by the Rev. Eustice Mitchell. Interment will be in Cary Family Cemetery, Ivor.

The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 a.m.
