&uot;My back yard looks just as good as my front yard. I just love my flowers and a manicured yard,&uot; she said.

To be eligible for the award, a resident must be a resident of East Suffolk Gardens, and pay a $5 membership fee.

William H. Goodman, league president, said the criteria to win the award are neatness of the lawn and yard, appearance of flowers and plants, and the lawn must be neatly manicured.

&uot; This program or contest was created by the East Suffolk Gardens Civic League to stimulate the interests of residents in the East Suffolk Gardens Community to take more pride in their yards and lawns. The program usually begins in May and terminates in September,&uot; Goodman said.
