George Truett Garrett, 80, of Wakefield, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, in Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 6, in Wakefield United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Wakefield Cemetery. Family will greet friends after the services in the church fellowship hall. Harrell & Hill Funeral Home of Suffolk is in charge of the arrangements.
