As silently as she lived her life, early Wednesday morning, June 4, 2003, Virginia Lyons Fulgham of the 100 block of Nancy Drive, Suffolk, left her earthly body at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth.

Virginia was born in Nansemond County to the late George W. Lyons Sr. and Margaret Wilson Lyons. One brother, Larry E. Lyons, preceded her in death.

Virginia attended East Suffolk High School, and was a retiree of Planters Peanuts in Suffolk.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Doris M. Fulgham and Roxanne Fulgham, and one son, Sylvaious Fulgham, all of Suffolk; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Thelma Hargraves (Robert), Arlethia Keys, Frances Colander, all of Suffolk; and Margaret Ward of Newport News; five brothers, George W. Lyons Jr. (Archie), Curtis Lyons (Shirley), Edward J. Lyons, all of Suffolk; James L. Lyons (Joyce) of Suitland, Md.; and Ellerson Lyons (Barbara) of Raleigh, N.C.; six aunts; eight uncles; and other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at noon Monday, June 9, in Diamond Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Calvin Lillard officiating. Interment will be in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.

The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Monday.

Family and friends are meeting at 914 White Marsh Road, Apt. B.
