Patricia E. Boone, 45, of 517 Chisholm Lane, Suffolk, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 in Obici Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County, and a daughter of the late Alberta Boone Baton.

She was a machinist operator at Planters Peanut Company, a member of Local Union No. 26, UAW, and worked part-time at Obici Hospital in the Environmental Services.

She was a member of Macedonia AME Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Stacey Gatling, Tracey Smith (Troy), and Tameka Pierce (Corey); one son, Ronald Gatling Jr. (Rasheedah) all of Suffolk; her father, Casper Cheeks of Connecticut; sisters, Bridgett Sears (Darnell) and Claudia Cheeks, both of Suffolk; Cordelia Spencer (Steve) of Brooklyn, N.Y; Averta Jones (Joseph) of Suffolk; Andrea Cheeks and Yatana Ward, both of Connecticut; and Tracy Gardner (Darryl) of Norfolk; one brother, Quintonio Cheeks (Sharon) of Suffolk; seven grandchildren; a special aunt, Delma Lassiter; and a special cousin, Julie Mann; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Canaan Baptist Church by the Rev. Charles Harvin. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
