Ms. Mary Catherine Edmond died Sunday, June 22, 2003, at her residence in Baltimore, Md.

A Suffolk native and a daughter of the late Susie Edmond, she was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she attended prior to relocating to Baltimore, and was employed at the Baltimore’s Super Pride Inc.

She is survived by two sisters, Emma Edmond Johnson and Lucy Ann Spellman; four brothers, Ocie, Quinton, Charlie Edmond, and Luke Manley; one brother-in-law, Wesley Johnson; sisters-in-law, Gladys Edmond, Elnora Manley, and Linda Cross Edmond; three nieces, Rosalind, Natalie and Brittany; four nephews, Malcolm, Wayne, Charles, and Robert; four great-nieces, one great-nephew, and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Gethsemane Baptist Church by the Rev. Nathaniel Scates. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The family will receive friends at 2313 Manning Rd, Suffolk.
