Mr. and Mrs. James Johnson of Suffolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Beatrice O. Johnson, to Eddie L. Boone.

He is the son of Mary M. Boone and Eddie White, and stepson of James L. Sawyer of Suffolk.

Miss Johnson is the maternal granddaughter of Beatrice Ford, and the late Robert Ford, and the paternal granddaughter of Ruby Johnson of Suffolk and the late Joseph Johnson.

Mr. Boone is the maternal grandson of the late Mary E. Boone and Johnny B. Boone.

Miss Johnson is a 1986 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.

She has been employed at Farm Fresh in Suffolk for 13 years.

Mr. Boone is a graduate of Suffolk High School.

He is employed at Starr Motors of Suffolk.

The wedding will take place Saturday, July 19, 2003.
