Most young soccer players would be satisfied with just a goal or two every game. But Rachel Holland of the Flames of the Suffolk YMCA Youth Soccer Association 7-9 league sets her expectations far above that.

&uot;I’ve had five in a game before, so now I want to have six,&uot; said the eight-year-old, whose team has dribbled to an undefeated record this season with two weeks left to go. Unfortunately, Rachel didn’t quite make her goal on Thursday at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, only scoring both goals in her team’s 2-0 victory over the Hornets.

&uot;I like playing offense because you haul all the way down the field,&uot; Rachel said. &uot;I’m always looking at the goal, because that’s where I’m trying to put the ball.&uot;

The &uot;Korman Krush&uot; carried siblings Tyler and Hailey to victory in their respective competitions. Tyler knocked in all the goals in his team’s 4-0 defeat of U.S.A. in the 7-9 league, while Hailey scored once as her Ninja Force squad beat the Purple Team in the 5-6 league.

&uot;I’m not nervous before the games because I know that I can win,&uot; said Tyler, a student at Driver Elementary School. &uot;I practice once a week with my team.&uot;

In other younger competition, Jovonni Bellot kicked in her first goal of the season and Jimmy Miller scored as the 5-6 Blue Jets beat the Power Kickers 2-0. &uot;I felt good when I shot it,&uot; said Jovonni. &uot;I kicked it soft, because I CANNOT do hard kicks!&uot;
