Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Gardner of Suffolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Gardner, to Patrick Lyle.

He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Lyle of Suffolk.

Miss Gardner is a 2003 graduate of Virginia Tech University and earned her degree in mathematics and psychology.

She is employed by Tecolote Research of Chantilly.

Mr. Lyle is a 2002 graduate of Virginia Tech University and earned his degree in finance.

He is employed by U.S. Investors of McLean.

The wedding will be held in May 2004 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lynchburg.
