Prenell Randolph Sr., of the 200 block of Jennifer Court, Suffolk, died Saturday, July 26, 2003, in Obici Hospital.

Mr. Randolph was the son of the late Bessie Sharpe and William Randolph.

He was a graduate of East Suffolk High School and attended Norfolk State University.

He was an Army veteran, and had retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a welder.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Catherine H. Randolph; a daughter, Anita B. Johnson of Quantico; a son, Prenell Randolph Jr. of Suffolk; mother-in-law, Pauline Richardson; sister-in-law, Vera Clarke; son -in-law, Claxton Johnson Jr.; six grandchildren; three aunts; two nephews; one niece; and many cousins.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, in East End Baptist Church with Dr. Mark A. Croston officiating. Burial will follow in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday, July 29, in Wyatt & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., Suffolk.

The body will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m. the day of the service.
