Edward L. Wilson, 76, of 1324 Jennifer St., Norfolk, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, in Riverside Convalescent Center, Hampton.

A native of Sussex County, he was the son of the late John Wilson Sr. and Mollie Edmonds Wilson-Potter. One son preceded him in death, Ronnie Wilson.

He retired from Hampton University as a custodian.

He was a Navy veteran.

His survivors include: three daughters: Patricia Sims, (Aurelious) of Newport News; Brenda Wilson of Ahoskie, N.C.; and Ella Williams of New Jersey; three sons, James Wilson of Ahoskie; Edward Wilson Jr. of Hampton; and John Wilson,(Linda) of Norfolk; two daughters-in law, Ernestine Wilson and Barbara Wilson; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, in Crocker Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Melvin Lyttle. Interment will be held in Little Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.

The family will be assemble Monday at the funeral home.
