Editor, the News-Herald:

The Judicial system is out of control. Unelected officials are legislating law and the people have no recourse. In 1803 Thomas Jefferson said the Supreme Court would be an oligarchy exercising tyranny over the people. He was truly a man of vision.

&uot;Legislation without Representation&uot; must stop. We need an amendment to the Constitution that restores the legislative powers of the government to Congress and Congress alone. It should read like this: &uot;Congress shall have the power to nullify, change, rescind, or reverse any decision of the Supreme Court by a 2/3 majority vote of both Houses of Congress.&uot;

Such an amendment would restore the legislative powers to the Legislative branch of government as the framers intended and return power back to the people through the ballot box.

Requiring 2/3 majority vote would prevent frivolous execution of this power. In addition, if the people did not like what their representatives were doing they can vote them out. This is what the framers intended.
