Jeff Cooper (pictured), who promised that his Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (NSA) Saints would defeat Windsor last week, helped the team make good on his promise Friday night, scoring a touchdown in the Saints’ 46-20 victory. Josh Gruber, a defensive lineman, picked off his first interception of a three-year varsity career and returned it 11 yards (which, ironically, moved him ahead of NSA quarterback Adam Keeling in rushing yardage for the night). Terrell Artis picked off two passes, returning one for a 97-yard touchdown, as Nansemond River routed Bethel 20-0 in a benefit game on Thursday.
