Shelia L. Francis, 38, of 2525 E. Washington St., Suffolk, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at her residence. She was a native of Nansemond County and was the daughter of William Francis and the late Sue Ellen Hunter.

She is survived by one son, Carlos Goodwyn of Suffolk; her father, William Francis (Betty) of Suffolk; four sisters, Linda Francis of Suffolk, Angela Maxwell (Marlo) of Hopkins, S.C.; Yvonne Joyner and Brenda Francis, both of Philadelphia, Pa.; two stepsisters, Lisa Lassiter of Suffolk; and Joyce Tillett (Gerry) of Hampton; five brothers, Tyron Hunter and Kenneth Francis, both of Suffolk, William Francis Jr., Donnell Francis and Robert Francis, all of Philadelphia; three step-brothers, Peter Boykins (Tina) of Mauldin, S.C.; Michael Boykins (Nanita) of Hampton; and Gary Boykins of Suffolk; her best friend, Frances &uot;Boogie&uot; White; three uncles, Oliver Wiggins (Lee Ellen), Sandie Francis (Rebecca) and John Francis, all of Suffolk; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, in Crocker Funeral Home by the Rev. Anthony Bryant. Interment will be in the Hunter Cemetery. Suffolk.
