Barbara Partin Dickens, 69, of Bedford, Va., a former resident of Hopewell and Prince George, died September 10, 2003 in Bedford. She was born in Hopewell. She was predeceased by her parents, Elmer Lloyd and Evangeline Warthan Partin, and her husband, William Marion Dickens.

Surviving are her daughters, Denise Dickens McCormick and husband, Troy of Bedford, Va.; Cindy A. Peak and husband, John Royce of Nathalie, Va., a son, William Lloyd &uot;Billy&uot; Dickens and wife Lisa of Stony Creek, four grandchildren, Jesse and William Dickens of Stony Creek, Justin and Jillian Peake of Nathalie.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday evening in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morris & Son Funeral Home. The service will be held at 10 a.m.

Saturday, Sept. 13, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev . James Crocker, pastor of Clover Bottom Baptist Church, Nathalie, Va. officiating. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Va. Memorial contributions to the Bedford Hospice Care, 815 Summit St., Bedford, Va. 24523.
