Lady Saints city’s only Thursday volleyball winners

The Nansemond-Suffolk Aca-demy girls volleyball team charged past host Hampton Roads Academy in four games Thursday, as Lexi Holland and Britney Bishop had nine kills each. Nansemond River and Lakeland weren’t as lucky, as the Warriors were swept by Hickory and the Cavaliers by Oscar Smith. River will visit Norview on Monday, The Lady Saints will host Peninsula Catholic on Tuesday, and Lakeland will host Indian River next Thursday.
