King’s Kids of America Inc. honors its coordinators as Volunteer of the Quarter and Volunteer of the Year. This is presented to outstanding staff members who are active in the organization, present at weekly site sessions and attend field trips and board meetings.

This year, the quarterly awards went to Vickey Parrish, (October – December 2002), coordinator of King’s Kids No. 2, Colander Bishop Meadows; Gwendolyn Parrish (January – March 2003), coordinator of King’s Kids No. 1, Highland Park; Claudia Goodman (April – June 2003), coordinator of King’s Kids No. 5, Highland Park; Jackie Cross (July – September 2003), coordinator of King’s Kids No. 4, Cypress Manor/Parker Riddick.

Mrs. Parrish was also named Volunteer of the Year.

Betty Milteer Knight is the executive director, Brenda Nichols is the assistant director, and Bishop Obadiah Colander is the founder.
