Editor, the News-Herald:

I know most of the candidates for the Clerk of Court, and Suffolk is fortunate to have such a good group of people running for the office.

However, I have known Kirk Pretlow for many years, and know that he is extremely detailed and good in the services he provides to his clients and in the community work he does. I think he would make an excellent Clerk of Court since he is familiar with all aspects of the Clerk’s office, and I would encourage the citizens of our community to support him and vote for him in strength, just as the Republican party has by its unanimous nomination of him as its candidate to run with Senator Quayle and Delegate Jones.
