Elevese Joyce Morgan Davis, 71, of 3240 Pruden Blvd., Suffolk, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in Obici Hospital.

She was a member and deaconess at First Baptist Church, Mahan Street.

She is survived by her husband, Fletcher Davis; five sons, Wallace Morgan (Gina), Kenneth Morgan and Edward Morgan, all of Suffolk; Christopher Morgan of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Terrence Morgan of New York; two sisters, Evelyn Wright of Brooklyn; and Mamie DeSaints of Port Richard, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five step-great-grandchildren; and seven step-children.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in First Baptist Church, Mahan Street, 112 Mahan St., with the Rev. Steven G. Blunt officiating. Burial will be in Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.

Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. today in Harris Funeral Home. A wake will be held from 7-8 p.m. Thursday in the church.
