I find it odd and disingenuous to read the off-handed accusations that Barbara Gayle’s five years experience as a Deputy Clerk of Court, plus three months a Clerk in Suffolk, is considered not relevant in the campaign for Suffolk Clerk of Court.

Why do they believe her experience to be irrelevant? Because, they say, Barbara was a Deputy Clerk in Portsmouth – a much larger jurisdiction, mind you. Yet, if the writers were properly informed, the clerk’s office is a state-regulated office, with its function universal throughout the state. Experience in one clerk’s office is absolutely relevant to another.

What is particularly odd to me is that these individuals are more concerned about where Barbara got her experience rather than wondering why their preferred candidates don’t have any experience, anywhere, working in a clerk’s office.

This desperate, last-minute attempt to distort Barbara Gayle’s impressive credentials reflects poorly on the letter writers themselves.
