Ms. Lucille Gilchrist, 58, of 1400 block of North Motford Ave., Baltimore, Md., died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at her residence.

A native of Florence S.C., she was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Gilchrist, and a son, Michael Gilchrist.

She received her education in the states of Virginia and South Carolina. She was employed at Darden Eggs for several years, and provided day care service to the community.

Lucille leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Suzanne Gilchrist, three daughters, Melissa Bruce, Trend Gilchrist and Michelle Gilchrist, all of Baltimore; four sisters, Mary Knight, Alice Mae Cobb, Linda and Barbara Massenburg, all of Suffolk; four brothers, Samuel Gilchrist, John Gilchrist, both of Maryland; Donald Gilchrist of Virginia; and Squiae Sherrdrick of South Carolina; a very special friend of 20 years, Melvin Crider; two sons-in-law, Alphonso Bruce and Vernon Riddick, both of Maryland; two sisters-in-law, Tina Gilchrist and Nita Sherrdrick; two brothers-in-law, Walter Knight and Wayne Cobb; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Crocker Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Laverne Shaw. Interment will be in Holy Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 810 Adams St.
