Lee W. Shaver

Lee Wesley Shaver, 84, a native of Anderson County, S.C. and a resident of 35 W. Main St., Ware Shoals, S.C., died Nov. 6, 2003, in Tandem Healthcare of Windsor.

He was the son of the late Charles Wesley Shaver and Carrie Tinsley Shaver and was predeceased by two brothers, William and Charles Shaver Jr. He was also the son-in-law of Randy Parker and the widower of Tommie Katherine Hamby Shaver,

He was a retired minister and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness of Suffolk and Ware Shoals, S.C. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was a long-time circulation manager of the Suffolk News-Herald.

He is survived by daughters, Linda S. Parker of Suffolk and Brenda S. Bothwell of Saucer, Miss.; son Donnie L. Shaver of Suffolk; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Shaver of Ware Shoals, S.C. Ruby Attaway and Mary Shaver, both of Greenwood, S.C. and Corrie Tucker of Kenansville, N.C.; and a brother, James G. Shaver of Ware Shoals, S.C.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the graveside with the Rev. Hayes Riddle officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson, S.C.

Friends may join the family from 7-8 p.m. Sunday at the McDougalds Funeral Home, Anderson, S.C. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, S.C. 29605.
